I’ve told you a bit about my upcoming colouring book, and I’m still unbelievably stoked!
I got an email from my project manager Hanan today, telling me that she’s ready to receive my manuscript! So now I’m working on the task of uploading 31 scanned images and a Word document to send her way tonight.
You might have also noticed that I haven’t been putting out as many posts lately. I’ve started training for my new part-time job, and that means I might change my posting schedule a little. I’m thinking of posting on Monday, Friday, and maybe every other Wednesday in between. This takes some pressure off me, as I’m now working both in-home and out of home.
I have a couple of new posts in the works, too!
Thank you, everyone, for being so supportive of my endeavors. I truly, truly appreciate it.
Last week, we looked at three important lessons on self care and unconditional self love.
Our previous post, Heal Thy Self Part I, covers these topics. This week, I’m going over three more lessons I’ve learned in my life when it comes to how to treat myself right, and I’m back again to share them with you.
Life is a series of lessons: some that are comfortable, and some that hurt. Ultimately, they’re for our betterment while we grow and change.
A theme that has been ever-present in my life is Self Love. From learning that I wasn’t loving myself enough to finding out that I deserved boundaries, I’m always discovering new things about self care and unconditional love.
Out of makeup remover? Wanna quit going through disposable wipes?
I’ve mixed up a gentle cleanser with ingredients I already had in my home, and after trying it out this morning, I’m glad to say it works!
Here’s what I used:
The other day I announced that I am working on an adult colouring book, which is still so exciting I can barely believe it’s happening. I spoke with my publishing consultant yesterday morning, and I made my first couple payments… the dream is coming true!
They set me up with a designer named Hanan. She’ll be guiding me through the rest of the process, putting my book together and asking me how I’d like things to look. I look forward to emailing and talking on the phone with her 🙂
I don’t want to leave the rest of you in the dark on what I’m talking about. If you’re new to my blog, you’ll notice that I love sharing my artwork. And that’s precisely what I’m going to do here!
The colouring book, whose working title is 30 Days of Positive Thinking, will have 30 pages including a practice page so that artists can get used to their colouring materials. It’ll be available sometime in the late summer or early fall (they’re thinking end of August or early September), but for what price, I don’t know yet.
What I do know is that the colouring book will be available for purchase through various retailers, hopefully including Amazon.
That said, it’s time for me to do what I do best: share a few more pages from this upcoming book!
Now, you may be wondering if I plan to publish more colouring books after this one goes through. The answer?
I’m already working on my next two!
I hope you like my art and look forward to colouring it in; I know I look forward to giving out copies of the finished product!
Happy Monday, everyone 🙂
I get that not all of you are psyched for the infamous start to the work week. I’ve chosen to enjoy the day as best I can, no matter what part of the week or what weather it may be. Then again, I no longer do the 9-5 routine; Monday is actually the most convenient day of the week for me because finally, I can get stuff done.
The new shift in the career aspect of my world has been nothing short of a blessing in disguise. I originally thought of it as a gift wrapped in compost; not something I wanted thrown in my face, but worth the crap that I had to deal with.
Plastic waste and harsh chemicals stink, but you don’t have to.
An Albertan company called Routine is dedicated to creating deodorant from natural ingredients with no harmful chemicals. And so far, it’s working! Their Calgary-based business is gaining popularity quickly, with over 4,000 likes and counting on their Facebook page.
