Living well with diverticular disease
- by Editor
Diverticular Disease is a fairly common condition that can affect any part of the gastro-intestinal tract (the tube that runs from the mouth to the anus), but more commonly affects the large bowel, especially the left-hand (descending) side.
However, flare-ups called diverticulitis can cause pain, bleeding, loose stools and a high temperature due to infection of one or more of the diverticular pockets. This usually results in having to take oral antibiotics and, in some cases, be admitted to hospital for IV antibiotics or surgery to remove diseased parts of the bowel.
With good bowel hygiene, diet, lifestyle advice, as well as targeted natural supplements, such flare-ups can become a thing of the past.
Use code 'DD20' to get a 20% discount of any of our supplements, but ones we do recommend are our Charcoal capsules and the supplements inour 30-day Perfect Balance Kit. For more advice on this particular protocol, email us at: feelgood@justfortummies.co.uk
